Traditionally, in vitro research has been conducted using 2D cell cultures. However, an increasing number of researchers have questioned the validity of studying cells in an environment that is so far removed from the in vivo state. Watch this video to learn how 3D cell culture technology from TAP Biosystems enables cells to be studied in a more in vivo like environment. Dr. Grant Cameron tells SelectScience about the new RAFT cell culture insert kit, which enables barrier models to be created for transport, chemotaxis and invasion assays.
